Experience and Knowledge

She is a life long resident of Council Bluffs. She has over 15 years experience in the real estate business. She has been owner/broker for Hayes Real Estate for over 10 years. Kathy graduated from Lewis Central High School in Council Bluffs. She attended Arizona State University and graduated from University of Nebraska at Omaha with a BS in Advertising/Public Relations and a minor in Marketing/Management.

Involved in the Community

Kathy is very involved in the community. She is a past president of the Southwest Iowa Association of Realtors (SWIAR) and chairperson for SWIAR RPAC committee. She presently is on the SWIAR Standard Committee. She is past committee member on Council Bluffs Chamber of Commerce. She is past chairperson for Lewis Central Education Foundation and LC Lucky Kids after school daycare. Kathy was co-founder and committee member on the Lewis Central Wall of Fame. She also was on committees for Post Prom and PTA.

Family

Kathy is married to Curt Hayes who has a real estate broker's license too. Curt Hayes is owner of Hayes Insurance Agency, Inc. Kathy and Curt have two sons that graduated from Lewis Central High School in Council Bluffs. Their oldest son graduated from the University of Iowa and their youngest son is attending Northwestern University in Chicago, IL.
